My review starts from here:
Call of Duty 4

Call of Duty 4 is easily the most popular online shooter on PS3
It features great graphics, a brilliant ranking system and a big bunch of guns, what more could you ask for... oh wait.. NOTHING!Although the story is quite lacking it is still a fun plot and it is funny to see that the US marines ingame just charge up and down while the UK SAS take things slow with silencers cheers
The game features a great variety of weapons and explosives, all beautifully rendered in full HD and in stunning graphics
Gameplay seems perfect and the online killcam is awesome for finding snipers or just watching a grenade fly 1000 metres, bounce of a tree and fall infront of you, making your face pretty much do this : affraid
The voice acting is superb although I question why the developers gave captain price (a UK SAS ingame) a massive moustache ad a terrible accent, but oh well...
Online will keep you bouncing back thanks to its levelling system giving you more weapons and options
Overall I would give this game a 9/10, it is let down by a short story and online problems

Story: 7/10

PAIN (PSN game)

Pain is a game which can be downloaded on the playstation store for £5, it involves flinging a bunch of quirky characters into objects, explosives and people in a cartooney city.
There are about 5 gamemodes, such as PAINdomenium which is basically just free play and fling your self wherever for high scores, Bowling, which is for 2 players and is a twist on bowling, where instead you have to fire your guy at the pins, while the other player trys to stop him for firing old grannies and explosives into the air- its very addictive, fun with explosives is where the map is littered with explosives and you have to hit as many as possible without stopping, with more coming down after every 10 boxes exploded.
In the game there is currently only one level (with one variation to be unlocked) but it is well worth it for the amount of fun it delivers!
In each gamemode you start at a fixed point, on a catapult. You can then choose the height and power of the catapult and FIRE AT WILL! With many funny things littered around the small city, for example a hotel called Hotel coral ess3x and a dance club called man hole...
When you eventually choose where to fire your guy, you hit the X button to fling him at wherever your aiming at, using the analogue stick to change direction in midair, also while flying or skidding across the ground you can use the directional pad to make your guy fling himself foward, backward etc... great if your about to become motionless. You can also shake the sixaxis to do a supercharged fling but you can only do once per catapult.
Once you end up lying motionless on the floor, a countdown starts, when it reaches 0 you will be resetted back to the catapult to try something deifferent, however if you get hit by something while lying motionless (Eg a car) you can use your directional pads to fling yourself somewhere else, such as another explosive.
Another good feature is to hit triangle and view the damage you did in slow motion, or rewind time and see where you character went and how.

Although the game only features one level with 4 layouts (amusent park soon to come), it is brilliant fun and is well worth the price, with you coming back for more every now and then.
The graphics are top notch but a lack of online multiplayer is upsetting, you will probably come back to get ll the awards and unlock all the characters though

Metal Gear Solid 4 (my review)

Metal Gear Solid 4.....a striking masterpiece.

STORY
I can't say much here, given that most of you haven't finished the game yet...but MGS4's story is one for the ages. A masterpiece that takes time to unfold and when it does, it will shock you, take you by surprise, and may even bring you onto the verge of tears. I have played every Metal Gear game ever released and nothing, including ANY game's story period, can compare to the story-telling in Metal Gear Solid 4. People live, people cry, people cry...it is obvious that it will all happen, but the emotions that come from all these events in a game are not usually expressed in real life. MGS4 is one game that will drag you from your couch, bed, chair, and immerse you into it's emotionally-charged storyline. At points in the story, I felt as if a tear was going to slide down my cheek, that's how gripping the story is in Metal Gear Solid 4:Guns of the Patriots.
GAMEPLAY
Guns of the Patriots grabs the control scheme of Metal Gear Solid 3, and changes it a bit. Most actions are mapped to the R1 and Triangle button. Snake moves fluidly and all his moves and actions are executed perfectly. No clunkiness and no lag. Controls are sharp and spot on.
There are also more actions you can perform on the battlefield. Rolling down the street in a steel barrel, flipping over a ledge from a prone position and still hanging onto the ledge. MGS4's gameplaygives you several different ways on approaching your target, whether it is a camping site or an unsuspecting enemy waiting to get his throat sliced.
GRAPHICS
Astounding, Beautiful, AMAZING. Solid Snake looks amazing from a distance, as well as zoomed up close. Even the smallest details pop out to you. The texture of his suit, the shine of Otacon's lab coat, the reflection of light on Otacon's glasses, and a long chase scene later in the game are huge examples that show off the power of MGS4's engine. The cutscenes used the INGAME engine and it is amazing how well the graphics are. The texture of the ground in some areas of the game aren't that amazing, but this is more than forgivable.
SOUND
This game simply MUST be played in 5.1 Surround Sound or higher if possible. The frequency of bird chirping while you are outside can give you hints on the whereabouts of enemies. The sound of water splashing on your suit and the wind blowing in your face sound amazing and lifelike. The ingame iPod is a very welcome new feature and along with providing a fresh new tune to listen to... the effect each song places on the battlefield varies according to the tone of the song. ie(sad, angry, happy, love)
MULTIPLAYER
Similar to the Beta, but very rewarding. The characters move a bit quicker now and aiming is much more smoother. The Online portion will be enjoyed MUCH more if it is played how it is meant to be played. Think like Snake...not like how a Cod4 player thinks. A pro at CoD4, will not be a pro at Metal Gear Online if they run 'n' gun. There are 5 modes, Deathmatch, Team DM, Rescue, Base, and Sneaking Mission. Rescue mission consists of capturing an object and returning it to your base, Base is a game similar to King of the Hill, and Sneaking Mission is a kind of TDM game where there are 2 teams along with one character as Snake and one as the MK II. Snake must retrieve 3 dogtags from either team WHILE both teams are fighting each other as well as preventing Snake from retrieving the dogtags.
16player online and future expansion packs will further extend the life of MGOnline and keep the fun going.
Conclusion
Metal gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is just one of those games that you MUST own. The game feels like its a movie inside of a game and it does even better than that. It lets you be in the "movie." An amazing, if not perfect single player story mode with a very rewarding and fun multiplayer component make MGS4 one of the greatest games of all time.
